Our Summary

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) on mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) proliferation and cytokine production. Cultured MSC from rats were divided into the sham group and the ELF-EMF group. The ELF-EMF group were exposed to 50 Hz frequency and 1 mT intensity for 4 hours per day. Results showed that ELF-EMF exposure stimulated the proliferation of bone marrow MSC as well as the expressions of hematopoietic growth factors and induced migration of RAW264.7
