Alterations in Adenylate Kinase Activity in Human PBMCs after In Vitro Exposure to Electromagnetic Field: Comparison between Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Field (ELF) and Therapeutic Application of a Musically Modulated Electromagnetic Field (TAMMEF)

Our Summary

To compare the effects of extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) and the therapeutic application of musically modulated electromagnetic fields (TAMMEF) on purine metabolism is the focus of this study. Results showed that ELF-EMF increased adenylate kinase activity while TAMMEF reduced the activity. Both treatments did not affect purine metabolism. ELF-EMF may be used in restoring the cell to an equilibrium state while TAMMEF may be used in maintaining electrical charge in a cell.
