Our Summary

Even after 12 months post total knee arthroplasty (TKA) surgery, some patients still have not reached a full recovery. This study now evaluated 33 patients who underwent TKA surgery some of which received sham treatment the others received PEMF therapy. Results show that one months in, pain, swelling and functionality for the PEMF treated group was better compared to the control and this is trend continuous after evaluations on the 6th month up to 3 years post surgery.
