Our Summary

Because of several ocular disorders, including neovascularization, brought about by retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells, this study investigates the effect of ELF-PEMF on proangiogenic features of RPE. Results suggest that no significant effects on cell proliferation and cell death of exposed cells but the increase in the gene expression of proangiogenic factors in RPE cells raises concerns in patient health during treatment.
