Our Summary

Since PEMF was used as a psychiatric therapeutic tool, this study now investigates the effect of PEMF on behavioral failure impairment as induced by PTSD. Male rats were exposed to a 30 Hz frequency and 7 mT intensity PEMF daily and compared results to a control group. This demonstrates that a 14-day PEMF therapy had beneficial effects to TSD-induced failure of conditioned fear extinction and exaggerated sensitized fear.
