Our Summary

To investigate the effects of extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMF) on MCF-7 breast cancer cells is the objective of this study. Cultured cells were exposed to 0.25 and 0.5 mT intensity EMF for varying durations. Results suggest that the 5 min EMF exposure reduced NQO1 and NQO2 mRNA levels, indicating potential for cancer therapy treatments in the future.
