Our Summary

For the reasons of lacking of studies on the effects of piezoelectric properties in scaffolds and PEMF treatment, this study was formed to evaluate efficacy of the combining both treatments. PEMF treatment alone showed enhanced cell proliferation upon DNA quantification. Results suggest that the combined treatment had positive effects on osteogenesis and could be an alternative to electrically stimulated osteoinduction.
