Our Summary

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELF-MF) on 5-hydroxyindolacetic acid (5-HIAA) levels. For 15 days, 24 adult male Wistar rats we exposed to 10 Hz frequency and 690 – 720 uT ELF-MF. Results show that 3 hours daily exposure for 15 straight days decreases 5-HIAA levels which suggests the effectivity or ELF-EMF on nervous diseases.
