The Effect of High Voltage, High Frequency Pulsed Electric Field on Slain Ovine Cortical Bone

Disclaimer: this research study’s copyright belongs to the authors and PubMed and not HealthMatReview.com, further details below.

Our Summary

Due to the lack of study on high power and high frequency pulsed electric fields, also known as pulsed power (PP), this study focuses on the effects of PP on musculoskeletal system specifically on bone tissue. Results confirm that PP increased the ultimate compressive stress and the total fracture energy of the cortical samples which also confirms the safety of this method having no destructive effect on bone structure.
