Transcranial low?frequency pulsating electromagnetic fields (T?PEMF) as post?concussion syndrome treatment

Our Summary

With several studies on the anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects of T-PEMF, this study now explores its effects on post?concussion syndrome treatment. A total of 7 patients with post?concussion syndrome underwent a 30 minute daily T-PEMF treatment for 5 weeks. They were evaluated on the 2nd, 5th and 12 week post treatment. Mixed results were documented as some experienced worsening of symptoms, others had headaches and discomfort while majority had reduction of symptoms.
