Our Summary

The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of EMF on vestibular schwannomas affecting Schwann cells (SC). The cells were exposed to 50 Hz frequency EMF. Findings suggest that EMF exposure promoted schwannoma development by changing the tumor suppressor Nf2/merlin indicating risk for cancer.
