Our Summary

Previous studies showed that PEMF exhibited analgesic effect in humans, rats and snails. This study now aims to further investigate the effects of PEMF on human pain and anxiety levels for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and fibromyalgia (FM). Patients were divided into the RA group and the FM group. The groups were then divided into PEMF and sham group. Results confirm previous investigations that PEMF treatment may reduce pain for patients with chronic pain.
