Our Summary

Osteochondral talar defects are usually surgically treated by arthroscopic debridement and microfracturing. The recovery takes a lot of time and rehabilitation before resumption of sports activities is considered. This study now aims to investigate the effect of PEMF on osteochondral talar defects and how this affects inflammation, pain relief and healing. PEMF treatment will lead to earlier resumption of sport activities is what is hypothesize.
