Our Summary

Due to the effectiveness of PEMF on non-union long bone fractures, this study will focus on the effects of early application of PEMF on postoperative delayed union of long-bone fractures. There were 58 patients that were divided into a control and PEMF treated experimental group within the span of 16 weeks and 6 months. The experimental group showed higher union rate than the control during the 1st 3 months. Results suggests that early application of PEMF significantly improved the union rate reducing pain and suffering of patients.
