Disclaimer: this research study’s copyright belongs to the authors and PubMed and not HealthMatReview.com, further details below.

Our Summary

The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of lone scaffold treatment with the combinations of PEMF therapy, bone marrow concentrate (BMC) and scaffold treatment on the healing of osteochondral defect. A 75 Hz frequency and 1.5 mT intensity PEMF exposure was tested on 10 rabbits with osteochondral lesion of both knees. Results appear that PEMF and BMC have different effects on osteochondral regeneration but the combination of both is more effective.
