Effect of non-ionizing electromagnetic field on the alteration of ovarian follicles in rats

Our Summary

The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of EMF on ovarian follicles. The rats were divided into 3 groups comprising of the control group, the EMF 1 group and the EMF group 2. The EMF groups were exposed to 50 Hz but with varying durations. Results show that EMF exposure reduced ovarian reserve by affecting the differentiation of oocytes and folliculogenesis, indicating reduction of fertility.
