Our Summary

One of the major problems on trauma surgery is the infection of implants. This study aims to evaluate the effects of PEMF and heat, know as induction heating, to reduce bacterial load. Results showed that induction heating of titanium disk was effective in bacterial load reduction which is a promising treatment for infections in metallic orthopedic implants.
