Our Summary

Previous studies confirmed the improvement of nanostructured titanium surfaces (TiO2) differentiation to osteoblast using PEMF stimulation. This study now evaluates the PEMF exposure effect on osteogenic differentiation of hBM-MSC planted onto nanostructured TiO2. PEMF intensity was set to 2 mT while the frequency was set to 75 Hz. Overall, results are evident that the combination of PEMF and TiO2 nanostructured surface are highly beneficial in the applications of bone tissue engineering.
