Our Summary

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of PEMF on Achilles tendon and ankle of a rat. The study focuses on complete and partial tear as well as if the tendon was repaired or not and if it was immobilized or not. Findings show that there were no clear differences with healing using PEMF as treat although there were early improvements with partial tendon tear and detrimental for complete tear.
