Our Summary

This review aims to show the effects of extremely low frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields (ELF-PEMF) on bone regeneration succeeding trauma and orthopedic surgery. First was a short overview of the existing studies investigating the influences of ELF-PEMF on bone cells and then a summary of study on ELF-PEMF treatment for bone regeneration. The studies show beneficial effects of ELF-PEMF treatment but still recommend further studies.
