Correlation between ELF–PEMF exposure and Human RPE Cell Proliferation, Apoptosis and Gene Expression

Our Summary

Due to the negative effects of EMF on angiogenesis, this study focuses on the effects of extremely low Frequency PEMF exposure on the relative expression level of angiogenic factors and in tern, evaluate the non-invasive therapeutic effects of PEMF on several ocular diseases relating to neovascularization. Results show that ELF-PEMF did not affect proliferation rate of hRPE cells and apoptosis while preventing effects of the expression of angiogenic gene.
