Our Summary

PEMF treatment has shown its effectiveness in patient recovery, reduce bone loss and pain relief. Now the purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of PEMF on postmenopausal women’s vertebral fracture rehabilitation. There were 40 cases for the PEMF experimental group while 42 cases were for the control group. The results were based on the health-related quality of life scores (HRQOL) on body function, bone microstructure, back pain and bone density 1 – 3 months post surgery. PEMF significantly improved all the criteria with effectiveness differing on the number of months post surgery.
