Our Summary
This study aims to evaluate the effects of EMF on mRNA levels of seven antioxidant genes in human MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Cultured cells were exposed to 50 Hz frequency and 0.25 or 0.5 mT intensities with varying durations. Results showed that the 15 minute duration exhibited significant effects on alterations of antioxidant genes but will need further studies to confirm.
