Our Summary

One of the most common musculoskeletal injuries that require surgery is a rotator cuff tear. The objective of this study is to investigate how continuous PEMF affects a rat postoperative rotator cuff. PEMF treated shoulders showed significant improvement at 3 weeks compared to the control. Thus it can be concluded that PEMF may enhance the early stage healing of postoperative rotator cuff tear tendon-to-bone healing.
