Efficacy and safety of the pulsed electromagnetic field in osteoarthritis: a meta-analysis

Our Summary

This study was intended for the evaluation of PEMF therapy on osteoarthritis treatment. There were 12 trials composed of knee, cervical and hand osteoarthritis. PEMF improved the physical function and showed pain relieving effects only for the hand and knee osteoarthritis. Results also showed that having a short treatment duration is more effective.
