Our Summary

Previous studies showed that EMF may affect uterine tissue functions. This study now aims to investigate the effects of EMF on during the peri-implantation period of estrogenic activity of pig myometrium. Pig tissues were exposed to 50 and 120 Hz frequency for 2 and 4 hours respectively. Results showed EMF exposure reduced E1 release indicating that EMF is a potent disruptor of steroidogenesis during peri-implantation period in female uterus.
