Our Summary
The objective of this study is the evaluate the effects of extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMF) and cisplatin treatment on the cisplatin-resistant human ovarian adenocarcinoma cells. A2780 ovarian cancer cells were exposed to 50 Hz frequency and 200 G intensity ELF-EMF for 2 hours. Results showed that ELF-EMF treatment stimulates P53 expression and sensitizes cisplatin-resistant human ovarian adenocarcinoma cells making that now sensitive to cisplatin treatment.
