Our Summary
This study aims test the effects of PEMF therapy to pseudoarthrosis after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion procedures. For this experiment fusion rates were compared between the control group and subjects treated with PEMF. The outcome clearly shows the significant increase in fusion rates for 6 and 12 months for high risk subjects with at least one who received at least a 2 or 3 level arthrodesis. For patients who are at high risk of pseudoarthrosis, PEMF is recommended.
